Acted as counsel in the fields of labour relations, construction claims, estates and general civil litigation , at the Vancouver law firm of Swinton & Company (now Miller Thompson) from 1972 to 1990 (partner from 1977 onwards). From April 1990, elected to restrict practice chiefly to acting as an arbitrator and mediator in civil and labour relations disputes. Currently on Sabbatical until March 31, 2017.
