Mary Margaret Mackinnon is a Vancouver lawyer who acted as General counsel for the Archdiocese of Vancouver and the Catholic School Board for more than 30 years. She has also represented the Diocese of Whitehorse, the Diocese of Victoria, the Diocese of Mackenzie and many other Western Canadian religious institutions. She has lectured on matters of faith and law, and represented various religious institutions during the Truth and Reconciliation process.
Over the past ten years, Mary Margaret has acted as a mediator in civil proceedings. In 2024, she left her law firm and started MMM Mediations. She currently mediates in matters of employment law, personal injury and sexual harassment and abuse. She received her designation as King’s Counsel (KC) in 2021, and the highest Papal honour in 2024.
